'William' stepped forward. "It was my idea sir, with your permission, I shall escort her myself, and there are a few items I myself need to get that no one else would know what they are."

Varian blinked and waved his hand. "Be home before dusk." he'd say, in a commanding tone.

2012-02-14 [Saffron]: Just like that? But Alex was so happy she hurried to her father and gave him a big hug and kiss before almost skipping out of the room, but she managed a very fast paced walk instead..."Hurry along William!"...she called to him. No Mister? In her excitement she had called him directly by his first name, but she was well on her way to walking right out the front door and the gates.

2012-02-17 [Saffron]: The wound was tended too and smelling salts quickly brought Alex back intro consciousness. Her eyes fluttered open and she groaned, but the physician quickly had her drink a tonic that would ease her head-ache and applied a dressing to her forehead. The physician also sent a guard to fetch the king and queen.

2012-02-18 [Saffron]: Alex smiled as she sipped her hot tea..."Yes, Bertha wont hurt a fly. Though I'd suggest not trying to touch maneater. He does not have a fondness for males and has even bitten father."...she tilted her head slightly..."He has always been a dear to me though. Never once had an issue, but father says its a good quality to have. Wont have to worry about men venturing to close to me when I ride."...she smiled at the memory.

2012-02-18 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' nodded. "I see, thanks for the heads up." he'd say, shifting a bit and glancing to her, sippig his hot tea too! it was yummy yummy. Shifting a bit, he'd yawn quietly and stretched. AFter he finished eating, he'd politly wipe his mouth off and rose up, bowing.

2012-02-18 [Saffron]: Alex had watched the yawn and was about to say something, when a soft tap occured on the door and a nurse scurried in with a tonic in hand..."Master physician bids the princess to drink this tonic for her head aches."...she kept her head low not once looking at the princess and held the glass out to her. Alex took it and the nurse scurried off. The tonic smelled terrible and Alex made a bit of a face.

2012-02-18 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' reached for the tonic. "IF I may princess? as your guard...I'm sort of required to...test whats' prepared for you." he'd say. As no it wasn't really his duty to do that, he just figured it'd be another way to keep her safe, just in case...ya know some Irish not part of the IRA had other plans in mind.

2012-02-18 [Saffron]: Alex raised an eyebrow. No one had ever done that for her before, but she wasn't going to argue. Today's events still had her a bit on edge..."Alright, but use a clean spoon."...she said not wanting to drink after a man. Scandolis!

2012-02-18 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: He took a clean spoon and poured a bit of he liquid into it and drank it, havint the most disgusited took on his face. "Plah, it's..disgusting, but it's....safe." he'd grunt, handing her the glas back.

2012-02-18 [Saffron]: Alex frowned into the glass..."Are you sure your not posioned?"...she sounded hopeful actually. It was actually rather funny she sounded that way right? She didn't really wish for him to be posioned, but she didn't want to drink it especially after that face he made.

2012-02-18 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Positive princess." he'd say. Crossing his arms over his chest he'd watch her.

2012-02-18 [Saffron]: Alright, maybe not as funny as she thought it had been. Sighing, she quickly down the liquid which was followed by a grimace and her taking a sip of her hot tea...."That was terrible. Your luck you only had a spoon full."

2012-02-24 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' nodded softly to her and leaned back agianst the wall. "Yes...quite lucky I am, princess." [blah didn't show upand I?'m gettin a call evey 5 seconds!]

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Sighing Alex sat there and soon she started to feel very sleepy. The physican must have added something to help her rest. Standing she looked over at Willian..."I'm getting tired. Thank you again for your help today."....he had been dismiassed from her room in the nicest way possible. Was he had left, Alex would crawl into bed and sleep.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' smiled. "Sleep well, princess. See you in the morrow." he'd say, departing and going to spend some time with Samantha.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex slept until mid morning and when she sat up she felt much better. Sliding out of bed, she would wash and dress before taking her breakfast alone in her little parlor. She sipped her hot tea and silently ate her honey bread and nibbled her bacon.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' was outside, talking to Samantha outside, a minor arguement about something or other, something stupid and childish. BUt...'William' was trying to explain things to her...but there was a loud 'smack' a grunt an oof and the sound of small feet storming off.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex blinked towards her door hadding heard hushed whispers but the smack made her a bit concerned so she stood and walked to her door opening it slowly and peeking out...."What's going on?"...she called out when she saw William.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' was rubbing his cheek when sheh came out, his attention directly going to her as he shrugged. "Different opinions on certain matters princess...dealing with your fall yesterday."

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex stepped out of her room..."What do you mean?"...normally she might not have been so nosey, but seeing as it involved her and she imagined Samantha has been the cause of the slap she wanted to know.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "I think this best spoken inside, princess." 'William' said, motioning toward her room. Then he would wait for her to permit him inside.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex looked down the very empty hall. What was he so worried about? But she was still hungry so it seemed a good idea in the end. Nodding, she would enter into her room and move back into her small parlar and resume eating her breakfast and look towards William for him to explain.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' stepped inside and closed the door behind him, taking a few steps forward. "She was in the market yesterday...she saw what happened..." he'd say, taking a deep breath.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex nodded chewing on her bacon..."And she heard about your word altercation?"...it was her way of saying without saying of his lie to the king.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Yes...I told her that it would'nt be wise to tell the king that his daughters bodyguard failed on his first week...and she dumped me." 'William' sighed shaking his head slightly.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex raised an eyebrow..."You didn't fail William. I'm still alive."...she smiled at him assuringly but then she looked a bit sad..."I'm sorry it didn't work out. Perhaps when she calms down you two can patch everything up."

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "I'm hoping so, princess." he'd say gazing over her, in that protective manner. But was there something more...to his gaze? Maybe...but she wouldn't know...not yet anyway, nope, not just yet.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Nope, Alex was totally clueless about love and other such notions. Yes, she had read books about it but seeing as she had never actually had anyone show interest minus for political reasons she was fairly deft about the entire thing..."I'm sure she will. Samantha is a smart girl."...she nodded as she finsihed off her breakfast and stood..."So, I do believe I owe you a trip to the stables."...she smiled at Willaim.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' smiled and nodded. "I know she is...a wonderful girl too." he'd dsay, in a much bashful state, but composed himself. "Ah yes, you do owe me a trip." he'd say nodding. "Enjoy your breakfast?"

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex nodded her head..."Of course."...she said in reference to her breakfast as she departed her room and lead the way to the stables..."Now remember, don't try and touch maneater. Stick to Bertha."...she said as she whisked out the front door and into the stables where nickers and neighs met her ears.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "I cooked it...by the way." William said, following her, remaining...by her side this time, why? Um..after yesterday? Ya...he was going to be doubly watchful. WHen nickers and heighs met his ears, he'd stiffen a bit, yes this was a real stiffen, he hoped he would'nt get nervous around the horses...he truly never had seen one...up so close.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex raised an eyebrow, but didn't comment on the cooking. That was just a bit creepy, but he was trying to be nice so she let it go. Walking up to Bertha who had her head out strining for Alex she scratched her ear..."Come on, let her sniff your hand then you can pet her."

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' slowly...stepped up to the horse with his hand out for Bertha to sniff. Clearly, he was still a bit nervous about being around said jhorse.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex took Williams hand seeing how nervous he was. She held it out for Bertha who briefly sniffed it then bucked her head under his hand..."She wants you to pet her."...Alex said smiling.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' placed his hand on on her nose and rubbed it softly. "Good girl." he'd say, placing his hand on the side of her cheek, brushing it and running his other hand through her mane.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex smiled as she watched them. Suddenly from behind them there was a loud crashing of hooves and a very angry horse neigh from right behind William. Alex blinked looking at maneater..."Now you behave yourself."...she scowled moving to the upset horse and scratching his nose..."No need to get all hostile when your not getting nose scratches."

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: William turned around and gulped. "um...h...hello man eater..." he'd say, grunting a bit and scartching the back of his head, nervously. "Um...he's a big fella." he'd say, watching the horse get nose scratches.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Yupe, maneater was born a war stallion, but with no person able to ride him and a young Alex befriending him to the shock of the trainers, he was hers from that day forward...."He is a champion. Has sired many strong young horses, all without his temperment to my father's relief."...she chuckled softly.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "I see." 'William' said. "So, princess what are your plans for today?" he'd ask. Not wanting to change conversation, but touch up on what they'd be doing today, would they be going horse back riding? I mean to say, would they she be teaching him.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex shrugged her shoulders..."I had not really planned past the stables."...she said thinking about it..."How about a ride?"

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' nodded. "I see, that's completely up to you princess, I have to abide by you..." he'd say. If she wished to go for a ride, he had to go with her.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex grinned and turned her back to him calling for two saddles and the stables boys came running. One zipped into Bertha's stale while the other dropped the saddle in front of Alex and ran for dear life. Chuckling, Alex picked up the saddle and put it on maneater herself before opening the back gate and releasing him into a private pasture..."He'll work out the kinks while I change."...she said to William and moving off to a tack room..."You stay out."...she said venomessly because she was changing.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'WIlliam' rose a brow, of course tjhe dirty thoughts went through his mind, but he didn't show it, just his own form of...omg what is he thinking now?! Shaking the thoughts out of his mind, he'd just turn around and kept his back to the tack room. "As you wish, princess."

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Once changed, Alex left the tack room in a pair of boys britches and shirt. Clearly she wasn't going to ride like a proper lady. Would William comment? Who knew, but she moved to Bertha who was waiting patiently, took her reins, and lead her out of the stables until they reached the gate to maneaters personal pasture..."Come here."...she yelled loudly to maneater who pranced right to her..."Good boy. She said opening the gate and the horse pranced right past her and looked at William as if it was lunch time.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' turned around to her and hsi jawj dropped. "Ahem..um...well princess, I never expected this." he'd dsay, crossing his arms over his chest. But...once Maneater was nearly face to face with him, he just stared right back, with a total blank expression.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex walked over to maneater and thumped him on his nose. The horse snorted and stomped in protest..."Be nice."...alex scowled and swung up on the saddle..."Now you do that with Bertha."...she nodded to Bertha who was grazy lazily with the reins dragging on the dirt.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' blinked and walked over to Bertha, and thumped her on the nose. "Like that?" he'd say, glancing over toward the princess. Though...he really didn't like doing it...she said to do it so he did.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Bertha stomped her hoof and trotted over Alex who was staring at William in shock..."Heavens no! I meant get into the saddle. Not thunk her nose."...she leaned over and rubbed poor Bertha's nose.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' frowned and walked over to Bertha and placed his hand upon her nose. "I'm sorry bertha...I was confused." he'ddsay rubbing it softly, the place where he thumped her. "Dear...I feel so horrid now." he'd frown. "How can I make it up to you, Bertha?"

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex bit her lip in order to stop the laugh but she felt a little flutter inside of her as he treated Bertha with such care..."A good ride likely will make it up."...alex chipped in..."Now can you mount or shall I get them to bring over a stepper to make it easier?"

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' placed the improper foot in and mounted her backwards. "er..well now...um...hold on, let me try this one more time." he'd chuckle at himself dismounting and mounting the proper way this time. Brushing his hand along her side he'd smile. "I'm truly sorry, Bertha."

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex couldn't help but smile and shook her head..."Now pay attention because even a new ride can fall of bertha and I dare say father would be upset if you cracked your head and died on me. Now, take the reins in both hands like this."...she showed him how she held the reins...."You guide her by gently pulling these one way or another. Once your comfortable in the saddle you can apply pressure with your knees and she will adjust as well. Now don't snap the reins or she will bolt into a run."...she tuted at maneater who moved at a gentle pace. Bertha out of sheer habit started to walk too.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' nodded and took the reins as she had and rode along side her. "I see, not a problem princess, I can do that." he'd say, Bertha following her mate? Yes, James is guessing these two...are mates of sorts, yes yes.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Bertha had sired once by maneater, but maneater was a horse whore and so he had sired a great many colts from a great many mares. Leading the way to the field beyond the castle she gazed about..."How are you liking the ride?"...maneater turned his head slightly and nipped at William's lef, alex didn't seem to notice.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "GAh! Um fine." he'd say looking toward Maneater. "As long as your horse does'tn try and bite my leg off again." he'd say blinking. "Bertha is a very good horse, yes she is." he'd say, patting her side.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex blinked and chuckled..."He wont actually bite you. He is just letting you know that he claims right over the females in your company."...she chuckled again and flicked the reins and maneater moved into a trot. Poor William, for Bertha did the same thing.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Gah." 'William' said hlding on tight as Bertha went into a trot. "I see..." 'William' said looking to her. "WEll I hope he understands Im' here to protect you, just as much as he's protecting you."

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex chuckled but would go at this pace while William adjusted..."I don't think he cares."...she said affectionatly patting maneatter before she snapped the reins and off they went. This time Bertha did not zip after though she was inclined too, but she would wait for her rider to ask her to run. 

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' gulped and nudged Bertha. "build up speed girl, we must catch up." he'd say, holding on for dear life.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex didn't go to far, but for poor William who she saw clinging to Bertha it must have seemed like forever. By time William caught up to her she was laughing so hard her sides hurt and tears were streaming down her eyes.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Ha ha ha princess." 'William' said looking to her with a sigh. "good girl. good girl." he'd dsay patting her side then looking up directly at the princess.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex smiled very innocently at William..."Hey, you didn't fall off now did you?"...she burst into laughted again and wiped at the tears still streaking her eyes..."You should have seen yourself. Looked like a frightened alter boy with the nuns after him."

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "ha ha ha." 'William' chuckled shaking his head. "This was fun, princess." he'd smile looking forward. Then he sighed and looked down.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex sighed softly as she caught her breath, but then she looked concerned..."Are you alright?"...she asked wondering what was wrong with him.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Just...a little upset is all princess...I...didn't expect all this to happen this morning, but do not worry yourself m'lady, things will work themselvse out." he'd reassure her.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: He must have been talking about Samantha right?..."Don't worry, I am sure she will understand. Shall I talk to her for you?"...she asked gently her voice filled with concern.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: Indeed he was. "No no...it's quite alright princess." 'William' said. "Im' quite sure we can work things out ourselves, thank you for yoru concern."

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex nodded and turned maneater around..."We better be getting back."...she said softly and trotted ahead giving him time to think if that is what he wished.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' nodded and did the same with Bertha. Tortting back. Takinga ddep breath, he'd have to think...oh there was a reason he wasn't going to have things work out, so...he could get close to the princess on a more...personal leve.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Upon arriving back at the stables, Alex would show William how to groom Bertha and once the two horses were happily munching on oats Alex would move off in silence to her room still leaving William his chance to think.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' leaned against a post and thought for a moment, not even bothered by the fact he was alone in the stables...with maneater in there! was he crazy?!? Maybe just a little. Taking a deep breath, he made plans...on how to get the princess alone...well in a situation of course :P

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex was surprised to see William wasn't on her heels, but that was fine with her. A moment alone was reason to breath and relax but she didn't diverge from her course and instead went to her room where she had lunch/dinner brought for herself. Curled up in a corner on large fluffy cushions, she would read a book and nibble at her meal.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' was back in her room after she finished her dinner, leaning against the wall, he wan'st off duty yet...but after he finished duty, he planned on going to talk to Samantha, to show Alex he was putting some effort into it. "What are you reading, princess?" he'd ask, showing some intrerest. "I read a neat book last week, some poems by Edger Alen Poe."

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex looked at her book as if she didn't know...."I'm not really sure. The title is in a language I do not know, but it is a beautiful story about love."...she smiled and showed him the cover which actually was the title 'United Hearts' in gaelic.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' blinked. He could read it quite well. "And the book is in...english?" he'd ask questioning. Wow...he'd never seen a book in ireland with a gaelic name and english writing...which confused the holy hell out of him.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex nodded..."I had it translated for me because I over heard a servant speaking about it. The name was never translated though."...she shrugged her shoulders.

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "An...Irish servant?" he'd ask, completely confused, rather very confused at the moment. Why...would an Irish lass work here?! shame shame shame!

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex shook her head..."No, she wasn't irish at all. I doubt father would let any of those heathens come near the castle. She had come about the book and knew the language because her father was a merchant or something. I didn't really ask the details. I just borrowed the book and had in translated."

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: 'William' cringed on the inside and had to keep himself from snapping at her. Heathens?!?! HEATHENS?! OH William was very grrful on the inside at the moment. So grful..he should jsut cut her neck out right now! grr grr...grr. BUT there...there was something about her...something that drew him to her...something he couldn't discribe...something he had to figure out.

2012-02-25 [Saffron]: Alex as still looking at her book so if William showed any outward signs she did not see, not that he did or anything. Finally, she would lay the book aside and gaze at him..."Do you like to read?"

2012-02-25 [HeAVenShallBuRN]: "Oh yes, I quite enjoy reading." 'William' smiled. GAzing toward her, he'd rest his arms at his side.
